In Nebraska, liquor licenses are overseen by the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission (NLCC). Original applications can be submitted in two ways: by mail or by appointment. However, renewals are available for submission online.
Basic requirements to obtain or renew a liquor license in Nebraska:

- Mail the payment and application along with any other documents requested and to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission.
If you wish to bring in an application to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission in person so that it may be reviewed before you leave they request that you call to set an appointment. Appointments are made only between the hours of 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Plan on approximately 45 minutes for the appointment. Please call the main office at (472) 471-2571 to schedule an appointment.

While the NLCC doesn’t currently allow you to obtain a license online you can renew an existing license or update information related to an existing license. You can renew online here:

Inspection and Enforcement:
The Liquor Commission does not have inspectors. They rely on local law enforcement and their key enforcement arm, the Nebraska State Patrol.
